He covers everything in detail but he presents it in a very unique way that you can understand, relate to and remember. This book is like his video. As I read it I can hear him narrating the book in my mind. This is an excellent book for beginners through experienced photographers. There is something here for everyone and the topics covered are all vital to taking that next step to improving your photography or simply refining your technique. This is an excellent book and honestly the best one covering Digital Photography Completely.

Comment on Finding a Lighter Camera by Jebo https://completedigitalphotography.com/2015/03/finding-a-lighter-camera/#comment-26 Thu, 12 Jan 2017 06:41:13 +0000 http://www.completedigitalphotography.com/?p=2156#comment-26 As a cyclist I was also looking for a lighter camera. I find the rebel sl1 a great camera combined with 24 mm pancake lens and 50 mm standard. It is very light weight and gives you sharper results than with a zoom at a third of the price of the fuji.

And actually everything you do haha. I have a question I’m hoping you can answer. I have a big willow with white lights strung around it. When shooting people in front of it, the lights sometimes don’t show up in pictures. It looks like they’re turned off, any idea why this might be? Thank you!!

Comment on Batch Converting DNGs to JPEGs by Helena https://completedigitalphotography.com/2008/03/batch-converting-dngs-to-jpegs/#comment-9 Fri, 29 Jan 2016 05:47:12 +0000 http://www.completedigitalphotography.com/?p=521#comment-9 This did not help because I did not have those drop down options. I would have to safe them as DNG files then save the individually as JPEG’s in Photoshop Elements 9.

Practical advice like this, and your excellent Lynda.com courses are like gold for me. Thanks, and please write more and make lots of Lynda.com videos! You’re one of the best teachers I’ve seen — and I’ve got several hundred Lynda.com hours behind me on other subjects. Also, I have found your book to be very helpful.

Just unloaded both plus half the lens list in favor of mirrorless (Sony) … A7R and A6000. (Awaiting A7RII.) The lighter load seems to free the mind too, so I threw in the Lumix FZ-1000 and GoPro, totally eliminating lenses on personal trips. Works for me.

This is a great observation. Very useful for accurate exposure. I see about at least half a stop gain of light in the subjects in played with.

Comment on WordPress or Squarespace – Which Is Best For Photographers by Bern https://completedigitalphotography.com/2014/10/wordpress-or-squarespace-which-is-best-for-photographers/#comment-17 Sun, 24 May 2015 06:26:21 +0000 http://www.completedigitalphotography.com/?p=2120#comment-17 I’m a photographer with a squarespace site, and I learnt one MAJOR problem after I signed up. SS stores all of your images at a maximum resolution of 1500px on the long side. So, if you want to do full bleed images or a full screen lightbox, and the viewers screen res is bigger than that, then it up-rezzes your images making them all soft. That is an absolutely TERRIBLE feature for a photo website. There have been feature requests and complaints about this for at least a year, and they haven’t done anything about it yet. I had to write custom code to force it to display at max 1500px.

16.3 mp for the Fuji vs 18mp for the Canon
8 Fps Fuji vs 4 fps for the Canon
Mirrorless, Fuji vs old mirror style for Canon

But while both cameras are about the same size and weight. The Fuji is almost twist the price.

While the Canon 5d is 22.3 mp / 6fps / Full Frame / $2500. / and twist the weight.

Trying to another New camera pass my wife, end of study.
