Complete Digital Photography covers the world of photography and printing, and is run by Ben Long and Rick LePage. We are photographers, trainers, and writers with more than 40 years of experience between us.
Ben is the author of Complete Digital Photography, which has been in print since 1999 and remains one of the best selling books in the category. He has also written more than a dozen books on other photo topics and teaches workshops all over the world, through Juniper Workshops. He has a fervent following on Lynda.com, where he hosts new classes on everything from Photoshop to camera training to compositional techniques.
Rick has been a technology writer and editor since the early 1980s, focusing on digital photography and printing. He was one of the co-founders (with Ric Ford) of the influential MacInTouch newsletter in 1985, and over the years has been the editor in chief for MacWEEK, Macworld, and Photoshop Elements Techniques. His photography, also with some of his personal writings, can be found at ricklepage.com
Rick runs Complete Digital Photography Press, which is based in La Grande, Oregon. CDP Press will be publishing a number of digital books later this year on such topics as panoramas, portrait photography and more. We are also working on the 9th edition of Complete Digital Photography, which will be published in 2018 in both digital and print formats. (You can find out a little bit more about our plans here.)
